God of mercy, you sent Jesus Christ to be our Good Shepherd.
We joyously acknowledge that he has guided us lovingly, kept us from harm, and led us into places of wholeness.
Still yet, Holy God, we are prone to stray
We acknowledge our wayward struggles- times when we turned a deaf ear to the voice of Christ, the call of Jesus to return to his fold, and the selfish ways we tried to live life on our own terms.
Have mercy on us, O God
Forgive our wanderings and return us into the care of the Good Shepherd so that we may live to honor and glorify you. Amen
